La Cerrada Workshop
The Complete Training to the Closing the Bones Ceremony through the Mexican Tradition.
The Wild Women, those who want to come home to wholeness through sacred space holding. Journey with me through pregnancy, birth and postpartum, a dance between us where I move between the roles of leader, guide and witness as you return to nature and birth in power.
I believe in women being held by the sisterhood and the neighbourhood, in autonomy and sovereignty. Supporting women and being the one that they can trust as they cross the threshold is the greatest of honours.
It is my promise to hold you, to nourish you and to witness you in all of your wholeness. To walk with you as you enter your initiation to motherhood.
Allow me to hold the lamp…
Birth Keeper, Ancoradora, Nurturer and Forager of Wisdom
I believe in the art of authentic midwifery. In holding space for women and offering support and sovereignty as they cross the threshold into motherhood. My style is tranquil and serene, but I believe there are times a leader needs to rise and guide. I am not afraid to do this and will hold you in your most tender moments but also in those when your feminine fierceness is called for in its fullness.
After the ceremony I felt like a different person. I am not exaggerating. I left so much pain and suffering behind thanks to Daia! I am so grateful for everything she did for us. I am a happy mom since and I am so glad I made this investment into myself, where my baby and family get to benefit too.
Diana
I had a wonderful birth – my daughter was born smoothly and calmly in the comfort of my own living room. I’m incredibly grateful to Daia for showing me how to bring about such a beautiful and empowering birth. Her genuine loving care made the whole experience more special.
Kerry
I felt as though Daia found all the pieces of me and both physically and spiritually pulled them together again. She drew light to places I didn’t even know needed healing, as well as helping me start the incredibly hard journey of piecing myself together following my experiences over the past year.
